Murmure Namkeen Recipe (Murmura Chivda)
Ingredients
- 100 grams Puffed Rice (Murmure (kurmura/puffed rice))
- 3-4 cloves Garlic (unpeeled and crushed)
- 1 Sprig curry leaves
- ½ tsp Cumin ( lightly crushed)
- ¼ tsp Chili powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- ¾ cup Raw Peanuts
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In heavy bottom pan or kadhai, heat oil.
- Add crushed garlic and fry for few seconds.
- Now, add curry leaves and peanuts and fry on low until peanuts are roasted nicely but not burnt.
- Then, add haldi, chili powder, salt and mix well.
- Add murmure and mix well stirring it for 2 minutes on low heat until everything roasted well and crisp.
- Take it off the heat and cool completely.
- Store in a clean air tight container for upto 20 days and relish as and when craved for.
