    Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

    These oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are crisp buttery cookies filled with luscious dark chocolate chips, goodness of oats and freshness of lemon zest. These chocolate chip oats cookies are loved by one and all!

    Yes! Baking is a stress buster and how long I kept myself away from doing it. But, it's never too late.

    Baking these beauties filled my house with alluring aroma irresistibly making me to munch on them as soon as they were out of the oven.

    I was more happy to see my son relishing these cookies and asking for it more and more every time.

    Ingredients you will need

    • Unsalted butter at room temperature
    • Brown sugar
    • Eggs : lightly beaten
    • All-purpose flour
    • Unsweetened Cocoa powder
    • Dark chocolate chips
    • Rolled oats
    • Lemon zest
    • Vanilla essence
    • Salt
    • Baking soda

    How do you make Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

    Pre-heat the oven at 170 degrees.
    Sieve together flour, cocoa powder, soda in a bowl, keep it aside.
    In Stand mixer bowl, add butter and sugar and beat on a medium speed until fluffy.
    Add eggs, vanilla, lemon zest and mix.
    Add flour mixture and oat. Mix well to form soft dough like consistency.
    On a cookie tray, place spoonful (small lemon sized) of cookie mixture with 2 inch gap between each cookie. Sprinkle dark chocolate chip on each cookie mixture.
    Bake them in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
    Allow it to cool for few minutes. Transfer on wire rack and cool completely
    Store in a clean airtight container, it will easily last upto 3 weeks.

    Ingredients
     

    • 150 gms All-Purpose flour
    • 50 gms Cocoa Powder
    • ¾ tsp Baking soda
    • 1 cup Butter (unsalted, room temperature)
    • 1 cup Brown Sugar
    • 2 nos Eggs (lightly beaten)
    • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
    • 1 tbsp Lemon zest
    • 1 cup Rolled Oats
