- 2 cups plain whole milk yogurt
- 1 cup whole milk or water
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 16-18 saffron
- 9-10 ice cubes
To garnish
- almonds and pistachios slivered or chopped
- few strands of saffron
Add all the ingredients - 2 cups plain whole milk yogurt, 1 cup whole milk, 2 tablespoons heavy cream, 5 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon cardamom powder, 16-18 saffron, 9-10 ice cubes to a high-speed blender jar.
Blend on high speed for 50-60 seconds until smooth and frothy.
Do the taste test and adjust the sweetness (and consistency) only if needed. pour in serving glasses, garnish with chopped almonds, pistachios and few strands of saffron and serve immediately.
- Use cold or chilled ingredients for a perfectly cool lassi.
- Whole milk plain yogurt yields the richest flavor; avoid overly sour curd.
