  • 1 cup Hulled White Sesame Seeds (Approx 145 grams)
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil ( use extra virgin for best taste)

  • To start with, dry roast the white sesame in pan on low heat stirring continuously.
  • It will take between 5 to 6 minutes until seeds are brown and release earthy aroma giving nutty flavor.
  • Take it off the heat and set it aside to cool completely.
  • Transfer the roasted seeds in to blender or food processor. Pulse it couple of times to crumble the seeds.
  • Add olive oil and blend it to smooth paste. Do scrape off the mixture once in between the blending.
  • Transfer the tahina into clean glass jar and refrigerate. Use as and when needed.

Use hulled white sesame seeds over unhulled ones to avoid bitterness, for smooth paste and better taste.
Grind the seeds in high powered blenders to get smooth tahini paste.
