Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Crisp buttery cookies filled with luscious dark chocolate chips, goodness of oats and freshness of lemon zest great. Perfect idea for gifting or festive occasions.

Ingredients

  • 150 gms All-Purpose flour
  • 50 gms Cocoa Powder
  • ¾ tsp Baking soda
  • 1 cup Butter unsalted, room temperature
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 nos Eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp Lemon zest
  • 1 cup Rolled Oats
  • 150 gms Dark Chocolate Chips
  • ¼ tsp Salt

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the oven at 170 degrees.
  • Sieve together flour, cocoa powder and baking soda in a bowl. Keep it aside.
  • In a stand mixer bowl, add butter and sugar and beat on a medium speed until fluffy.
  • Add eggs, vanilla, lemon zest and mix.
  • Add flour mixture and oats, mix well to form soft dough like consistency.
  • On a cookie tray, place spoonful (small lemon sized) of cookie mixture with 2 inch gap between each cookie. Sprinkle dark chocolate chip on each cookie mixture.
  • Bake them in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
  • Allow it to cool for few minutes. Transfer on wire rack and cool completely.
  • Store in a clean airtight container, it will easily last upto 3 weeks.
