Raost the coriander seeds and crush it coarsely.
Wash and cut the fish into medium sized pieces. Apply 1/2 tsp turmeric and salt. Keep it aside for 15 minutes
In pan heat 1 tbsp of oil ,and fry marinated fish on high heat for 2 minutes flipping it once
Take off the stove and keep it aside
In another pan heat 2 tbsp of oil, add methi seeds and fry till brown and aromatic(methi seeds should not burn). Add cumin seeds and allow it to crackle
Add chopped tomatoes and fry on high heat till soft. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute
Add chili flakes, turmeric, crushed coriander seeds, white pepper powder. Add ¼ cup of warm water& Cook till masala starts leaving the oil.
Add fried fish, salt, lemon juice and garam masala powder. Mix gently and simmer for 2 minutes
Finally add kasuri methi mix and cook for another another minute.
Yummy Methi Machli is ready
Dish out and serve hot with nan or steamed rice
